It seems like it may be years, if at all that there will ever be such an influential couple of men such as Rodgers and Hammerstein that ever have such an impact on musical theater. Their names are synonymous with musical theater and that will never change. Without them, many Broadway stars may not have gotten their time to shine including Ezio Pinza and Mary Martin. It is fascinating how the two never thought that they would ever have a career together and then once paired they would make history from their first piece of work all the way up until their last with infinite fame coming from their many years of hard work. These men still get recognition to this day because many that are trying to fill their shoes and write new pieces of work
“A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself.” (Joseph Campbell). Heroes dedicate their lives to contribute to the general welfare of society. Most of the time, the obstacle seems to big for them to handle, but they overcome it in the end. A hero can be anyone in the world.
He stayed with Johnny when he wanted to run away so the cops wouldn’t find him and changed his look for him. Greasers are really particular when it comes to their hair, so the fact that Ponyboy dyed his hair for Johnny is very courteous. Hes also a hero because he stays strong for Johnny. Johnny’s parents abuse him and Pony’s parents have passed and him and his older brother, his guardian have their ups and downs. But even when Pony was slapped by his brother he stayed strong because he knew he needed to… for Johnny.
Pony isn't just a hero to the children, but to Johnny. Ponyboy has helped Johnny through all his tough times that his parents gave him, and was caring when he was in the hospital. As you can see Ponyboy is a true hero
Most people would say that a hero is somebody that has super powers and wears a costume. Heroes don't have to be over powered beings; they can be regular humans. A hero can be anybody that takes risks shows courage, shows bravery and helps people in need. Heroes have a positive effect on the world. Usually, heroes "fight" against issues that affect them personally.
In the book, the outsiders by S.E. Hinton ponyboy embarks on the hero 's journey facing many heartaches and growing from them. In the beginning, Ponyboy is an orphan, an outcast from his friends and family, and even his school. Ponyboy then becomes a caretaker fending for himself and others around him. In the end, he has words of the wiser to leave the readers stunned and inspired. Ponyboy goes through the first stage of the hero 's journey as shown when he claims he is different from his family and friends and he has good grades which its stereotypical for people of his status not to have good grades.
What makes a hero? A hero is someone who is willing to take a chance on something. Someone who can be strong and courageous to accomplish something. Someone who can complete a task and change a whole country. That is a hero.
Everybody has the opportunity to be a hero, but does everyone take it? A hero is someone who is respectful and willing to put their safety in harms way in order to keep others safe. In The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton, Ponyboy, a 14 year-old Greaser is a hero who is concerned about the well-being of people around him, and of people he might not even know. Johnny, the Outsiders Gang’s pet, is also a hero. Dally who is a hardened teenager in the Outsiders Gang is not a hero because he does not realize that there are more important things in life other than looking cool.
A hero is anyone who makes the right decision to sacrifice for a person in need. For example, without heroes like firemen, wildfires and house fires would spread across the nation, costing lives and loss of worldly possessions. Firemen stand strong, risk themselves, and protect all for the well-being, safety of others, and personal property. In addition,
A hero is someone who puts the needs of others before their own and works towards a greater
My definition of a hero would probably be someone who cares for others and does what they can to help in one way or another in most likely the way with the least unnecessary destruction. In a way like the Arrow or the Hood (DC comics), him being a vigilante but he tries to do right by those and gives the bad guys a chance to undo what they have done or he takes action to get it done by whatever means necessary. I think that Johnny in someways proved to be a hero due to him defending Ponyboy when he was being drowned but took what necessary action he thought was all he had which ended in Bob, Cherry's boyfriend, stabbed and dead by the fountain. Johnny also went after Ponyboy when he ran to go into the burning church to save the little kids
A hero can be anyone around you. A hero is a person who is strong, has courage, helps others, and does good deeds. Ponyboy deserves to be considered a hero. Johnny also deserves to be considered a hero too. Dally does not deserve to be considered a hero though, unlike Ponyboy and Johnny.
What is a hero? A hero is someone who is courageous and is willing to step up and fight when the time is right. A hero fights for is for the betterment of others, and not only to benefit themselves. Johnny, Ponyboy, and Dally are all heroes in "The Outsiders," by S. E. Hinton, although Johnny is the greatest hero of them all.
There are various approaches to describing a hero. There is also an infinite number of individuals who can be defined as heroes. A hero can be a person who demonstrates valor. A hero can be a champion. A hero can even save a life or even mankind.
To me, a hero is someone who gives everything they have to assure the happiness of others and a hero is also someone who gives up his life or her life so someone else could live. In all honesty, a hero isn’t really what we think a “hero” is based on definitions and what the movies or even comic books have told us. Anyone can be
