There are many different opinions on if professional athletes get paid to much compared to the median household income. Professional athletes should take what they have for granted because it is a very generous career. I'm not saying that it is totally wrong to get paid to play a professional sport I just feel that it is an exceeding amount than it needs to be. So overall, do professional athletes get paid too much? I agree with the people that say, yes they do get paid too much. I feel this way because for what they are doing does not compare to the rest of the careers for the country. When I think of professional athletes I think of people who play a sport for our entertainment. Then when I think of a normal American citizen I think of a person who goes to work every day to try and support their family. But with most professional athletes they receive multi-million contracts for a full season of the sport that they play. So in reality they get paid well more money than the median household income in even a shorter amount of time. In my opinion the workers that are in the median household income per year should be treated better in the financial aspect of their life. In conclusion, do professional athletes get paid too much?
