Albert Einstein once said: "Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid" The school does not make kids climb trees, the school makes them go down. The school does this because it was first created in the eighteenth century to produce workers, not thinkers. Also, many of the information given on school from middle school to high school are not executed in the adult life. Some may say that our school is unchangeable and unreplaceable. However, there are numerous of better alternatives everyone can adapt into.

All students and staff are a democracy where everyone is equal. You can do whatever you want and students spend weeks watching TV and reading until they get bored. When they are bored, they find what they want to do. This is when the students discover their passion and interests. However, there are few requirements such as doing a chore each day and signing in and out of school. In Sudbury schools, you can opt out that chore by paying real money. There is a free market to sell items such as popsicles. Before doing this you have to put the motion into school meeting. There are two motions, hence students learn time management, planning skills, and paperwork skill. All schools should be like this, then we may have a better society, corporations, innovators, and politicians. Taking everything into account, school does more harm than teach kids. School only makes kids be workers and followers as it has not changed since the Great Depression. Perhaps that’s why we wear square hats on graduation: To show that we think inside the box. Students put everything into trash after a test and those information aren’t applied nor executed in the adult life. Also, there are many other alternatives that does a far better job than school. Lets have more people realize this by advocating this in public, so we may have a better society where kids are happy and truly
