In 1990 JA worked for 48,900 students in South Dakota and demonstrated a positive growth serving 1,663 South Dakota students. From South Dakota Over 2,000 classroom participate and about 380,000 JA international volunteers support JA. The Junior Achievement of South Dakota State Office is located in Sioux Falls and supports all of the area boards across the state. JA is occupied in Colorado Springs, Colorado. It is important for students to understand financial literacy, entrepreneurship, work-readiness skills and ethical behavior. For financial information Only 27% of students surveyed their parents are their primary resource. An average of eight out of ten students report Junior Achievement programs helped reinforce the importance of staying in school. They view their contributions as a good investment in our children's future. To small partnership JA supporters come from all life’s work and their gifts reflect their diversity from large corporate donors. They can support JA with cash legacy, giving, stocks and bonds, in-kind gifts, volunteer hours, special event participation or sponsorship; the possibilities are endless. To reach their goals, they need to have economic supporters who are eager about helping bringing the real world to students, and opening their minds to a possibility. There are many techniques they can do to become involved with Junior Achievement by engaging their financial support, donating items or services to be used to raise funds, or by donating your time to volunteer in the classroom.
