As a result of their revolution, the Americans got their independence from Britain and introduced enlightenment ideas into their government. The American government after the revolution was much different than the government before the revolution. Before the revolution the American people were not represented in government and had no say. After the revolution the American people became the government. People elected other people that they trusted to go represent them in government.
After the Revolution against the British, the newly independent Americans had a bit of a shaky start in founding their new, unified country. It was thanks to the first few presidents under the Constitution that the United States could successfully form a stable central government. The work of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, in particular, helped to shape the government of the time amidst the current challenges of a new country. Contributions like setting the basis for a strong, democratic government, focusing on the wellbeing of the citizens, and the Louisiana Purchase assisted in turning the freshly independent colonists into a unified country under stable leadership.
There were many reasons for the colonist victory in the revolutionary war. One of the biggest reasons the colonists were victorious was that they had the French on their side. The French fought with us because they were rivals with the English. The French supplied us with Money, weapons, ammunition and troops. Most people say the Colonists would not have won the war if it was not for the French.

Why the Americans Won the War of 1812 The Americans won the war of 1812 against the British, Canadians and First Nations because they achieved many of their goals, made the British suffer many casualties and won numerous significant battles. One of their goals was to stop the British impressment on the seas. At the end of the war, the small attacks on American land from the First Nations stopped. The Americans accomplished their goal of making the British suffer from blocking their trade with France. Throughout the war, the Americans succeeded in capturing British Forts and winning many victorious battles.
Historically armies of Europe usually did not fight wars during the winter months for obvious reasons. But Washington understood from the outset in 1775 that if he were going to win the war with England, he needed to have a fighting force active for 12 months a year. Washington desperately needed to keep his army together for the looming battle at Philadelphia which the English occupied during the winter of 1777-1778 when Washington arrived a Valley Forge which sits northwest of Philadelphia. Washington 's troops were desperately short of rations.
After defeating the British and separating itself from their power during the revolutionary war, the people wanted a change. After years and years of being under the influence of the British, the people wanted their own form of government that they can personally call theirs. Winning a war is not easy, which is why the British hired a highly trained, German Mercenary group to fight the colonists. After a recent string of patriot victories, the British needed someone to help fight the colonists. So, they hired an army from Prince Frederick II of Hesse-Cassel to bolster their ranks, and gain control of the colonies. These mercenaries were known as the Hessians. The Hessians were German soldiers hired to help the British in the American Revolution, but after the war many of them deserted, and settled in America.
When the colonists were still with Great Britain, King George III misused his power. As a result, colonists wrote the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, to the king, to state their separation from Great Britain, to form a new country, the United States of America. After creating a new country, Americans wrote the Articles of Confederation in the year 1777, which they purposely weakened central government, so the abuse of power, wouldn’t exist. This meant the states had all the power. Although this structure of government seemed great, the creators of the Articles quickly realized that with no central government, states weren’t united because they were busy on increasing the growth of only their state.
Following the Revolutionary War, America had just gained independance from Great Britain and needed to form a new government. The Articles of Confederation were established as an attempt to create a government that was unlike Britain’s. Unfortunately, the Articles of Confederation had several weaknesses. When in the process of repairing those weaknesses, the Federalists and the Anti-federalists formed. The Articles of Confederation were very weak as well as useless to America and because of this, the Federalists and the Anti-Federalists could not agree on a new type of government.

The United States won its independence for Great Britain during the Revolutionary War. America struggled to get the advantage, but eventually was able to win the war. In the beginning it proved difficult to even acquire the troops necessary to fight a war. The troops they got had no adeptness for fighting. They struggled throughout the war and at times their chances for success looked bleak.
A meeting was called up, number of delegates have met in Philadelphia to discuss/construct a new form of government. Here is where George Washington became America’s first president and a new government was formed. Culturally The Salem witch trials allowed women to be aware of the injustice they were facing which led them to demand equality. Along with the Great Awakening, that introduced many new religions that lead to conflict within the people. Politically the French and Indian war helped George Washington prepare for leading the continental army. In addition the Declaration of Independence created the separation between the loyalist and the patriots.
