During the war of 1812 was an adjutant in the Cherokee regiment. He fought for the Cherokee valiantly without pay,and they still were not considered true Americans. John Ross was important because he was like a leader for the Cherokee.one year after the 1812 John Ross fought on the creek war of 1813-14 along with general Andrew Jackson. This is the wars that John Ross fought in and that he was a leader.
John Adams John Adams is the one of the most interesting person in the Revolutionary War. He had a huge impact on the Revolutionary War. He helped make the Declaration of Independence. In 1774 he served in the first continental congress. He was the first vice president of the United States and the second president.
Pocahontas did not save John Smith’s life. Based on the evidence in Paul Lewis’s biography about John Smith, it appears that he was trying to lie to get publicity for “introducing Pocahontas to English language and the Bible”. The suggestion I made about John Smith’s first document before Pocahontas was famous was that John Smith doesn’t mention Pocahontas at all and it says nothing about John Smith being in danger. Then in J.A. Leo Lemay’s exert he says “John Smith had no reason to lie.” Therefore it shows that John might have lied to get famous over something that really didn’t
Captain John Smith was the leader of Jamestown leading a group of men to make money eventually off of tobacco. William Bradford was the leader of Plymouth and lead a group of families into the new world for religious reasons. While Smith was being boastful Bradford was more of a humble man. They both had some similar things in common. One of the similarities was going through the experience of the starving times.
He really let people talk and listened to the problems. John Adams had a hard presidency many people didn 't agree with him. First his Vice President was on the opposing side which made it hard. He raised many new taxes and increased the power of the central government which many didn 't like. Adams creates the alien and sedition
The purpose of Smith 's work was to persuade others to continue to colonize America. He wanted them to know if you went out and worked you would be rewarded with survival. Smith did achieve his purpose. His exploits promoted that, they were an example of how he went out "abroad" and faced many potential enemies and not only survived but saved the other colonists. The other aspects of the American Hero Smith established in this work were: overcoming impossible odds (seen when he faced 200 natives by himself and killed two of them before he was taken prisoner) and getting a woman, Pocahontas, to care so much for him that she helped save his life and the other colonists (seen when he speaks of her laying her head down over his when her father
John Smith was a teenager who fought in the Low Countries and survived serval escapades in wester Europe. After, he joined a Christian army to fight the Turks in Hungary, and he was captured and ensalved during this period. But he killed his master and returned to England in 1604. He also had serval books and achievements, which we are using them to understand more about history and his life. But in the books, John Smith did not write anything about the recue by Pocahontas.
Jamestown, a successful colony Imagine yourself at a colony that no one really cared about planting or building shelters to keep safe. That would’ve failed if it wasn’t for John Smith. That colony that I chose was called Jamestown, a colony or a settlement. Jamestown had become the first successful British colony because of ho w they have peace with the Indians, how they have a determined leader, John Smith, and how they have a cash crop, tobacco. These examples are why Jamestown had become a successful colony.
He wanted to keep peace with the English, but he didn’t think Smith should be treating him with disrespect after all he had done for them. John Smith said that when him and Chief Wahunsenaca met up, the Powhatans were planning to kill him. He said that Pocahontas warned him about their plans in the middle of the night. The Powhatans think that wasn’t the case. There is no way that Pocahontas could’ve got past all of the guards watching Smith.
Leading in a Life of Illustriousness For over two hundred years, the United States of America has worshipped countless men and women for their leadership and bravery. Of those, whether it was with ideals, life story, his writing, or fighting for his nation, Alexander Hamilton is a great leader, using his influence to shape America and the great minds surrounding the country. To clarify, Hamilton was among the Founding Fathers, building a foundation for this country to enable the later generations to achieve greatness. Alexander Hamilton, in his many accomplishments, embodies the idea of great leadership.
Smith was a hero since the terms of the heroism definition says something. He knew that what was happening to humanity wasn’t right. He desired to alter that but he knew he couldn’t do it alone. He noticed O’Brien was on his side.
Being a good leader does not necessarily mean shining in the spotlight. Some of the most revolutionary and successful leaders are the ones who worked the lights. Self-awareness, self-direction, vision, ability to motivate, and social awareness are the characteristics of a good leader according to SIY Leadership Institute (SIYLI). There have been many accomplished and renowned leaders in America since (and before) the 1770’s, ones whose names are universally known and others who are unfamiliar. Of the latter is Alexander Hamilton, who showed potential since the minute he was put on earth, for no matter what obstacles were thrown in his way he forged ahead and never threw away his shot.
How is someone a hero? The definition of a hero is a person who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, great/brave acts, or noble qualities. Joseph Smith was a hero. He did all of the thing that are listed. Some people hated him and thought that what he did or saw wasn’t true.
Life in Colonial America was different for all those involved, which were the settlers of Jamestown, Plymouth, and Massachusetts Bay colony.. Jamestown, Plymouth, and Massachusetts Bay had similarities and differences. They each had their own unique leaders, form of government, economics, and ways of life, although all the settlers in these colonies had a deep dependence on God. Jamestown was the first permanent settlement in North America, founded in 1607.
Both John Smith and William Bradford were Englishmen who came to America and helped to found the earliest colonies in New England. They came at different times and for different reasons. Both tell of events during these travels in their written accounts, but these accounts show that the two men, as well as their goals, were drastically different. Captain John Smith, considered to be the first American writer, came to America in the spring of 1607. He had many adventures prior to the voyage to New England, and thought quite highly of himself, as is clear in his writings.
