There were many appalling prison camps during the Civil War, but the most infamous was Andersonville. A shocking 13,000 people died in this camp(Bartels). Andersonville was run from February of 1864 until April of 1865. When the North found out about what happened at Andersonville, people were outraged. They wanted justice, and so the man running the camp, Henry Wirz, was tried and hanged for war crimes(Kohn).
Before the country of Elysian came to be, there was first the kingdom of Drumphland. Seeking for independence and adventure, 5,000 people sailed from Russia to Alaska in 1736. They sailed on the Mayspeed boat under the command of Edmund Drumph. Although there was already a civilization in Alaska, the passengers of the Mayspeed boat would not have with it and killed those of the Rapid Rock Tribe. The population knew they could not rule without a leader so they all unanimously called in Edmund Drumph to lead them.
Kametrea Williams was born February 1st , 1999 in Longview,Texas. Kametrea lived in various parts of East Texas until the death of her father in 2012. After her father's death Kametrea and her younger sister (Keeunsha) moved to Dallas, Texas to live with their Uncle (Undray Moore) and Aunt (Yolanda Moore). While living in Dallas Kametrea's Uncle and Aunt encouraged her to go to church and stay connected with the Lord on a personal level. Kametrea's eight grade year at Pearl C.Anderson she joined an organization called Turner 12 who's mission is to help students from various Dallas schools become first generation college graduates.
Alexander Forrest was a explorer, politician and investor, was born on 22 September 1849 at Picton, near Bunbury, Western Australia. His older brother was John Forrest. After education at Bishop Mathew Hale 's School in 1863 through 1865, he worked at his father 's mill until in 1868 he advertised himself as a surveyor. By 1870 he was experienced enough to serve as second-in-command of John 's first transcontinental expedition, along the edge of the Great Australian Bright. On January 1, 1871 he was appointed to the Survey Department as surveyor-in-charge of the Albany district but he became an independent licensed surveyor working by contract for the department.

The Pickaway Center continues to enjoy our Volunteer Opportunity at the Ross County Dog shelter. The dogs have gotten so use to us coming that they all stand waiting by their cage doors when we enter the back room. When the weather is nice we enjoy taking them for walks, playing fetch our just relaxing with them under the shade tree. We then will come in and make sure the dogs have plenty of fresh water and that their cage area has been cleaned out. Before leaving we make sure to pass out treats and give them one last hug before seeing them
Topic 2- Valley Fair Calling all daredevils! Valley Fair is an exhilarating yet fun amusement park which is loaded with nerve racking rides and even a ginormous waterpark! Some awesome rides you can go on is the Corkscrew, the Excalibur, and the High Roller. Maybe after the rides you just want to chill. In the waterpark there is a lazy river in which all you do is lay on a tube and go in circles.

I t has been 145 years since one of today’s biggest cities was burned to the ground. One normal day in the city of Chicago, a fire started in the O’ Leary’s barn on October 8th, 1871. There was dry weather and most of the city was made from wood. With the wood, and the dry, windy weather, the city was very flammable. Once the fire started, it spread to the whole city.
Along time ago in a city far far away from here a city called Chicago, in 1871 chicago was lit in an unknown way. All we do know is that it was a disaster. The author Jim Murphy gives us plenty of reasons why the city was ready to burn for example, There had been a long lasting drought for several months therefore it was very dry, and the town was basically made of wood and could ignite any time it wanted to. Also to made it even worse the roofs on buildings were made of tar,and there were several buildings were filled with tons of hay and coal literally.

When in school in Missouri is where he found his talent while taking lessons at school. During his time at that school he also played in the school band on a baritone horn.
