Going through hard times in life is what makes you who you are. Without these things you would be a completely different person. Willa Cather once said, “ The end is nothing; the climb is all.” Cather is absolutely right. Whether it be a sports game, or your sophomore year in high school the work and effort is what really counts. The end result is meaning less if it is just handed to you. The more work you put in and the more sacrifices you make means the more sweet the victory will be. The meaning of the quote by Willa Cather is that the end result of something isn’t what is important, but what you learned and experienced on the way. Everybody dies.
