The definition of murder is; the unlawful premeditated killing of one human being by another, so if the deceased wasn’t directly impacted by another human being would the death still be murder? The brother of William Armstrong can not be held accountable for his brothers death. Mr. Armstrong’s brother was a great encouragement to William. He always pushed him to go past his comfort zone. When William said “No, I can’t walk”, his brother told him “... yes you can Doodle, all you gotta do is try.” Brother’s continuous effort to get William on his feet even when he doubted himself showed how much he cared for him. Brother also said, “Well, if you don’t keep trying, you’ll never learn.” Even when William was feeling dispirited, Brother always motivated him to keep pushing. Mr. Armstrong’s brother couldn’t have been guilty of his death because of the love he had for his brother. There were many factors that played into the death of William, but there’s not one thing that takes the blame. …show more content…

Armstrong’s brother didn’t kill him, his condition played a bigger role in his death. The doctors never thought William would past birth they said, “The doctors said with his weak heart this would probably kill him.” Since he showed so much improvement learning how to do everyday tasks, running didn’t seem like such a big deal. When he died it wasn’t because of his brother, it was his condition that ended his life. Brother said, “They named him William Armstrong, which is like tying a big tail on a small kite.” Giving Doodle an important name was like a beacon of hope that he would live up to the
