William Shakespeare, nearly everybody has heard of him, because of his truly amazing talent and hard work. He is one of, if not the most, famous playwrights of all time. William Shakespeare is one of the greatest and most influential writers in history. We can see this through his success and his talent. It is also apparent through his background as a person, his work ethic, and his famous plays, poetry, and more that changed the English language; we see how he is the greatest writer of all time. We also see he was, and still is, very influential to us and to modern day writers. William Shakespeare was a famous playwright and poet from England in the 16th century. His exact date of birth is not known, however we do know he was born in and he was baptized on April 23, 1564 in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, England. He was very successful and prosperous in his career. Because of this he was able to purchase properties in London and Stratford. Between 1610-1611, Shakespeare was 46 and moved back to Stratford-upon-Avon. He continued to write plays and had connections with the Globe Theater, until it burned down in 1613. William Shakespeare died April 23rd, 1616 in Stratford-upon-Avon. 400 years after his death, William Shakespeare is a name recognized in nearly every language and country. He left very little evidence of his life behind, except the immense amount of works; 37 plays, 2 narrative poems, and 154 sonnets. All of these works were created in a time span of approximately 30 years. No other writer can compare to Shakespeare. He wrote plays in the late 16th century and early 17th century that are still read and performed more than ever before all over the world. These pieces are the main part of his legacy. His amazing talent pushed him to become, possibly the greatest writer of all
