William Shakespeare is a very famous play writer and poet, he was born 1564 during the Renaissance and died 52 years later in 1616 (He lived to 52 years old and this is amazing due to the lack of medical advancements). Along with being very well known he had a family consisting of his wife, a pair of twins and one other child. As I said before William Shakespeare is a poet and he wrote plays, he wrote 44 plays in total and over 100 sonnets. One of his plays is the ever famous Romeo and Juliet (fun fact William Shakespeare also acted in his own plays), and majority of his sonnets is love poems dedicated to love.

Two of Shakespeare’s favorite writers were Geoffrey Chaucer and Plutarch; their works would influence many of his plays. The author I’ll be writing about William Shakespeare the man who wrote famous poetry such as Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Othello, King Lear, Macbeth and many other novels and plays. It was known that Shakespeare lived from April 26, 1564, to April 23, 1616. He was also known for having one wife, one daughter, one set of twins even though one of them died.

If Shakespeare was born previous to his birth then his works would have most likely been destroyed or cast out.

Shakespeare has not only introduced words, but has also written a few of the most popular phrases that even I myself, use in my daily conversations and texts such as “into thin air” , “catch a cold “ ,” for goodness sake “ etc .
