Jan van Eyck, another contributor to the Renaissance, focused mainly on oil painting and creating pieces of art that were more realistic and 3D. Jan van Eyck used new techniques to represent the life of the subjects that he created in his paintings. Lastly, William Shakespeare significantly influenced English language by introducing many new phrases and vocabulary words through his writing. He wrote stories and plays that focused on greed and hatred, but also told the complete story of someone’s life as if they were telling it themselves in the center of the stage. This was a common theme of authors and artists during the Renaissance and has influenced the pieces of art and writing that are being created
William Shakespeare was born on April 23, 1564, in Stanford-upon-Avon and died on April 23, 1616. He was baptized on April 26, 1564. He was the third of the eight children born to John Shakespeare and Mary Arden, daughter of the wealthy landowner. Williams father was a glove maker, a grain dealer, and served in various civic offices as a member of town council. Later he married a local girl Anne Hathaway and moved in together.
The well-known William Shakespeare wrote many prominent plays and sonnets that lead him to be one of the greatest writers. As a youth, he grew up in Stratford and learned to speak and write Greek and Latin. Then, after having twins, he left his home town, and pursued his writing career. His 37 plays and over 150 sonnets soon became top hits throughout the world. However, is Shakespeare himself the one to take credit for these famous plays?
Shakespeare is the famous author of many different plays and poems. He began his writing in the 1500’s, and moved on to theatrical work as well. According to Barnet, “ eighteen of his plays were published during his lifetime.” ( Barnet).

He did write all his plays indeed. Shakespeare was a genius, he loved and believed that he was capable to be a great playwright, he loved theater and he wanted to write plays and act in them as well, his sonnets are mostly about the three quatrains and the rhythms of a poem. The reasons why he started writing plays was because he had potential to be a good playwright. He loved the theater and he thought if he could make them he can act in them as well.
Only an active author for a quarter century, Shakespeare wrote multitudes of plays, sonnets, and poems. William was not able to attend a university or study under a great artist, because he was not born to greatness or wealth. He is one of the most performed playwrights to this day. Some of his most popular works include Romeo and Juliet and Macbeth, to name a few. William Shakespeare has become the most famous and influential author in English literature.
“By 1957, 15 of 37 plays written by William were published (“William”). William was one of the first to come up with the words we use today (Rosen,80). William came up with a lot of the words in the English Language during his time in London. William wrote about three different types of writing, comedies, tragedies, and histories. William was very famous for these types of plays and is best known for those types.

The works of William Shakespeare include about 37 stage works, 153 poems, a couple of very lengthy historical pieces and various other pieces. His plays have been translated and are performed in every major language.

This combination influenced many playwrights today. In his plays, he avoided unclearness and focused on vividness and reality. Shakespeare’s creativity is still living today. Shakespeare’s writings influenced the English language. He introduced new words, grammatical structure, and phrases.
It’s been over 400 years since the great poet, playwright, and actor, William Shakespeare, has died, yet it feels like he’s still very much alive. But why is this? Maybe it’s because of all his timeless iconic plays that are very common to this day. Maybe it’s the impact he left on the entire world of literature. Or maybe it could be the 1,700 words he created that is used every day by almost everyone.
Intro In this presentation, I will not be talking about the basic Shakespeare facts like family, marriage, childhood etc. But more about his authorship and his way to success William Shakespeare was a poet, playwright and an actor and is considered the greatest writer in the English language. Shakespeare’s influence is unquestionable, as he is revered and known worldwide. His innovation on linguistics and the English language are innumerable for many of the words he displayed are still used today. Shakespeare’s influence is still enjoyed today seen in contemporary movies, poems, and plays. Many authors have expounded on Shakespeare’s work bringing alive the inspiration, love, tragedies, and contributions weaved within the words and linguistics of Shakespearian work. Some of these insightful authors include: Francis Beaumont, Christopher Marlowe, Thomas Middleton, and Tom Stoppard.
