Sir Winston Churchill was born in November 30th 1874 in Oxford shire to the parents Lord Joseph Randolph Churchill and Jennie Jerome. Churchill, father was known politician and his mother was an American socialite. Churchill witnessed every event happened in the world from crowning of Queen Elizabeth II in 1984 he also witnessed the two world wars, he was a member of parliament for over 60 years. Churchill was Britain prime minister mostly in world war II, he was a war leader who was known for his speeches, championship and his bravery. Speakers use this technique to audience so they can think and engage what the answer can be. It used to make the audience agree with speaker. Churchill always made an excellent use of this method, especially in this speech, whenever he uses this device, the audience would think deeply about the penalties of what was going to happen to Britain. For example, “You ask, what is our policy? I will say: It is to wage war, by sea, land and air, with all our might and with all the strength that God can give us; to wage war against a monstrous tyranny, never surpassed in the dark and lamentable catalogue of human crime. That is our policy. You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word: victory; victory at all costs,” (Churchill). You can see here he is asking his audience what is our aim?
