Winter sports are fun for everyone! In the summer
Freedom Summer, or the Mississippi Summer Project, was a volunteer campaign launched in June 1964 to attempt to register as many African-American voters as possible in Mississippi, which had historically excluded most blacks from voting. The project also set up dozens of Freedom Schools throughout Mississippi to aid the local black population. The projects leadership and funding came from the SNCC and COFO, along with hundreds of white college students in the north. In 1963, the SNCC organized a mock vote for blacks, which gave them a chance to prove they were capable of understanding politics. The civil rights activists from both organizations and the white volunteers from the north faced many challenges during the campaign.

Homeroom Reflection Junior year I have grown as a student this semester by watching the mala movie. This has helped me grow as a student because it showed me how just one voice can change so much in a community. From this experience I learned how Mala was an ordinary girl but who ones spoke up for what she believed was right for her community and the people all around her. After she started to change her community on a positive way for example, have more schools so students can have an education and making sure girls were able to attend school more often. Therefore, when she spoke up for what she thought was right and changed people 's life there was some who didn 't appreciate what she was doing so decided to shot her and ended up shooting her on her forehead.
Ellie loved snow so much! Making snowmen, having snowball fights, sledding, snowmobiling. The things you could do in snow were endless. Playing in the snow with her friends were her best memories living in Minnesota. The only things she didn't like about the snow was scraping off her car in the morning.
Every year, my family goes on a snowmobile trip with my friend Aftyn’s family in Spearfish, South Dakota. About two years ago, we drove out for our trip as usual. The first day was super fun. We stopped at Four Corners, a fun hill to climb, and we did lots of racing. The second day was a little more eventful.
The freedom summer, also known as the Mississippi Summer project, was the nonviolent attempt for a voter registration drive organized by a series of civil rights organizations, those including Congress on Racial Equality (CORE), the Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). This historical event took place in Mississippi in the summer of 1964. The main focus of this project was, as mention earlier, the voter registration drive, which intended to gather as many colored Mississippians to join the electoral register. But as suspected, may of this registration were denied by the officials, which was a callous act of injustice. As a result, the organizers formed

In the spring of my freshman year, I was faced with something I had never faced before. I either had to choose my friends and spring break or basketball. I loved basketball, but at the same time, I realized that freshman year was the year to make a lot of friends. All I had heard in the past month was my friends talking about Spring Break. I knew that basketball would take place every single weekend until August 1st.
Many arguments about changing the school calendar are for year round school. Readers are only gaining knowledge on the one sided benefits of the year round schedule. The year round calendar consists of school days throughout the whole year. Normally, the year round schedule goes forty-five days to school then fifteen days on vacation. Another common track is sixty on twenty off (“Year-Round Education Program Guide.”)
I have the standard set of beliefs as most people; don’t do anything illegal or to harm anyone, be a decent person, help those who need it. However, I’ve struggled most with the old adage of “treat others as you want to be treated”. It seemed simple enough to me as a child, and thus I began to do just as the age-old advice said. In most instances I have gotten what I’ve expected in return. My grades reflect my efforts at school, the treatment of me by my sister was indicative of how many names I had called her that day.
On this farm there have been two major leaders for a while the best leader of all is Snowball. Snowball sticks with his laws and rules, and does not change them. There are 3 good reasons why he is the best. Snowball did not change any of the commandments, he had no contact with any of the humans, and he did not make any other animals experience pain or death. To begin, Snowball kept the commandments as they were.

The book I choice to read was, “Brian’s Winter”, by Gary Paulsen. This book is about Brian after the private plane he was flying in crashes in to the rugged forests of Canada. Brian went through many struggles while trying the best he could to survive in the harsh environment. Some of the biggest events in this story include when he is attacked by a bear, during the major storms and some of his questionable encounters with the wolves. If I were telling a friend about the entire story in two minutes I would say, Brian’s parents were divorced leading him to visit his father for the first time in a long time.
