Personal Narrative-Ellie's Life After Playing Hockey

Trying not to overheat on the 103 degree summer day, Ellie was fantasizing about the 20 degrees below weather in January; without the windshield. She could vividly remember playing hockey. She played wing for her school, but she tries playing everything when she was playing pond hockey with her friends. Even though pond hockey is really played on a lake, it's still one of her favorite things to do. She loves the feeling of working as a team and being with her friends. The cool, dry winter air helps to relax her when she's stressed, and the coldness always calms her down and makes her think straighter. She remembers going inside after playing hockey for hours, and drinking hot chocolate. Holding the cup by the sides, and seeing the the steam come off of it made her warm up after being so cold. While she and all of her friends were warming up with their hot chocolate, she could remember hearing stories about why there were so many lakes in Minnesota. Paul Bunyan and Babe his blue ox. Every wear they stepped they made a whole because they were so big. Then their footprints filled up with water and made the lakes. Ellie couldn't imagine a life without living on a lake. Ellie loved snow so much! Making snowmen, having snowball fights, sledding, snowmobiling. The things you could do in snow were endless. Playing in the snow with her friends were her best memories living in Minnesota. The only things she didn't like about the snow was scraping off her car in the morning. It took so much work. Scrapping was probably the worst thing to do in the winter because it was always so cold, and then your fingers got cold too. Also, when the roads go bad, she hated driving. Slipping, sliding, and spinning was not very fun for her when she had a small Dodge Neon. Although sometimes it was slippery out, she loved watching the snow glisten in the sun while driving along the streets of her country
