In the novel, Witch and Wizard: The Kiss, there’s a very savvy protagonist who has breath-taking magical abilities, and a wild persona. The protagonist, Witsy Allgood, is a seventeen-year old girl who is of tall height and stunning red hair. Witsy is a witch with vast powers (she is gifted with the abilities of shapeshifting, pyrokinesis, and electrokinesis), and she seems to know how to control her powers very well. In earlier stages of her life, she bursts into flames, turns Byron Swain into a lion and a weasel, turns herself into a mouse, and is able to freeze people and animals around her. Unfortunately, despite her gifted talents, she doesn’t exactly think openly before using them. On page 18 of the novel, she dismisses Byron after telling him “Shut up, Byron” by morphing him into a squeaking weasel. After morphing Byron into a weasel, she proceeds by saying “I should just leave you like this – your true form.” I believe that those quotes and actions done by Witsy show her immaturity and how she isn’t worthy of her extraordinary powers. Despite that, she doesn’t just use her powers for fun and games, she has defeated The One Who Is The One, the previous evil dictator of the Overworld, with her and her brother’s
