In this book, “The Woman Warrior”, by Maxine Hong Kingston, wrote about her life as Chinese-American. She focuses on strong female warriors, idolising qualities like taking control of your life without anyone controlling you. Kingston saw examples of how to make your own life, yours.
Kingston explains that there were many actions about what it takes to be brave and being an experienced fighter that she explains what it really takes to be one. Kingston talked about her aunt, Moon Orchid who just came to America. How her mother peer pressure her sister to take back what's hers. She made a plan that if her sister’s husband hit her “I'll hit him. I'll protect you. I'll hit him back. The two of us will knock him down and make him listen." (145). …show more content…

Warrior means being brave and experienced fighter. There are lots of references of how a woman can be a warrior, by having control of your life, and the story of Kingston mother told about her ancestors experienced about woman rights.

P1: The references of how a woman can be a warrior, fighting for years to try take what yours. Kingston talk about her aunt just came to America. How her mother peer pressure her sister to take back what's hers. She made a plan that if her sister’s husband hit her “I'll hit him. I'll protect you. I'll hit him back. P2: Kingston’s mother talks a lot about her time in China and about their family history, this teach Kingston about what to do, and not to do. That many woman does not have many rights.
