When women get treated unfairly, they come together and out smart whoever is against them. While three men are looking for evidence for a murder of a husband, two woman are getting rid of any evidence that can be used against the killer. The woman teamed up because women were not treated fairly and they needed justice. Getting rid of evidence is acceptable in this situation because Mrs. Wright ,the killer, was curly separated from her happiness and that needed to stop! Mrs. Wright only way to her happiness and freedom was by murdering her husband, John Wright. She murdered He because he was an awful person and would not let her have something that would make her at least smile. A team of individuals including of the sheriff, county attorney, Mr. Hale, and Mrs. Peters were on a mission to find the purpose of the murderer. At this point, Mrs. Wright is the main suspect. As the two women look around they find that many things are half done. Mrs. Hale then started thinking of the many interruptions that could have occur. The ladies continue to look through her items. They noticed that Mrs. Wright was putting together a quilt and the empty birdcage. The quilt had nice stitching all the way through except on one end. She must have been nervous about something because the stitching was so bad at the end. The birdcage well it was empty and one of the hinges was broken, pulled apart. “Through all these findings, Mrs. Hale wishes that she would have came around” (Glaspell). The fact of the matter is that Mrs. Wright was alone all day, and it would almost make sense that she would want the bird for some company.
