Another time period is 2000’s is how women are so lucky to have their own income; and don't have to be married to a man. The 1800’s women were meant to have one future that was to take care of the children and do housework. The husband goes out and gets money to bring home for dinner. “Women had primary responsibility for raising children maintaining the room”(Lunardini 30). This quote from Lunardini is stating in this era, women couldn’t be educated because their duty was staying home and raising their children. Basically the women didn't get a lot of education in the 1800’s v.s. now in 2016. Women weren't able to have jobs due to men, thinking that they had to bring home the profit while their wives stayed home. “During the Civil War women who did domestic work or took in laundry, sewing, and ironing, a few women work in jobs providing services to other women including hairdressing, ceiling handmade goods”(Lunardini 44-45). This was really good news for the women heading out of just staying home and watching the kids while doing chores inside the house and outside.
