By 2030, food shortages are spreading all over the world, and even advanced nations are expected to face great disasters. Food, clothing and shelter element the requisites of our life, but failure to solve the most important food can cause a disaster. If the eating habits become difficult due to the reasons like global warming, and the price fluctuation resulting from this is getting worse, I worry that it will become the world where people living only with money will live. I was deeply sympathetic to the poverty eradication mentioned in chapter 11 of this book. The earth is now suffering from absolute hunger and its problems.
In today’s world, there are various people facing various problems such as hunger. For many centuries people in this world have faced this problem. People die of starvation every day and nothing has been done to end this problem. There has been a tremendous amount of people who have tried to end world hunger, but it seems like anything they do is just not the right solution to end this enormous dilemma. There are solutions to ending world hunger that people will find it extremely outrageous and inhumane that are mentioned “A Modest Proposal” by Jonathan Swift and “Let Them Eat Dog” by Jonathan Foer.
Richard Proudfit started to feed my Starving Children and by using volunteers they pack food for those in need. His creation of feed my Starving Children has made the world better. This is important because we should know how people can improve the world. F.M.S.C. has provided a large amount of food. F.M.S.C. opened the door to allow others to give.
Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “I have the audacity to believe that people everywhere can have three meals a day for their bodies, education and culture for their minds and dignity,equality and freedom for their spirits.” This quote is stating that everyone no matter how poor or how rich deserves a meal. Hunger is known to many people as being weak from the lack of food and craving food badly. Many people whether famous or not have tried to figure out ways to get rid of hunger but hunger exists all over the world. It would take many more people to join in on this issue to get it solved and to make sure it stays solved.
The word hunger can have dozens upon dozens of meanings. Hunger can mean the need for food, or a need to travel and explore, and many more. Depending on the individual, hunger can be as large as traveling all around the world, or having a small meal. Hunger can vary vastly from one person to another, and some have more than others. However, for M. F. K. Fisher, the author of “Young Hunger”, proves that the youth of our civilization have the strongest of hunger.
Nevertheless, even though the concept of world poverty may be too great a problem to resolve, there are still many ways as to stem off this conflict. The majority of our global hunger involves most people that live in third world countries where there’s at least 12.9 percent of the population that is living in poverty. Global hunger is caused by poverty. When we think of hunger, we tend to think of food and how only poor people are the only ones hungry. Can you believe that there are millions of people who live with hunger who are malnourished because they simply can’t afford to buy food or purchase the supplies they need to grow enough food for their families?
There are a lot of problems in the world like poverty and pollution but hunger seems to be the most severe to me. There are so many different types of people who are famished most of the day just because they are homeless or because of their race. Studies show former foster youth, L.G.B.T. students and students of color are at substantially increased risk. One group of people who are in hunger the most is college students. College alone is so expensive that a lot of students can’t afford to even feed themselves.
Imagine being so hungry you can’t even move. Having to sleep in a house made of dirt, or being so thirsty because there is no safe drinking water. People around the World face these problems everyday. 328,000,000 children live in extreme poverty, and 1 in 10 people live on less than $1.90 a day. The conditions they live in are horrible and everyone should do what they can to help end poverty and world hunger.
Since 1990, the world has reduced the number of people who live in extreme poverty by over half. But that still leaves 767 million people living on the edge of survival with less than $1.90 a day.2 The numbers of world hunger has gone down by a lot, but yet world hunger is still going on. Some of the poorest countries in the world have few to no jobs, and the few jobs that there are, are paid very little each day. Survival is key to these people and with the little money they have, it’s hard to do that. Across the globe, conflicts consistently disrupt farming and food production.
Even the number of hungry people in the world exceeds the total population of US and European Union. Extreme hunger and mal¬nutrition remain as blockade to development and creates a set up from which people cannot easily go out. Hunger and malnutrition mean less productive individuals, who are more susceptible to disease and often unable to earn much more and improve their livelihoods.
