The End of World War 2 and the Impact on the world

The Quote said by Winston Churchill is a final speech of WW2. This speech heavily impacted the world and brought peace at the end of WW2. World War 2 was a devastating war killing millions of people including soldiers and Jews. The war impacted the world then and still to today. World War 2 impacted the world then and into the future. D-Day contributed to the end of World War 2, The United Nations was a result of the World War 2, and the Nuremberg Trials was the result of persecution of Jews by Nazis. First, D-Day started the transition to the end of World War 2. D-Day or the Normandy Landings started the end of World War 2. ¨By late August 1944, all of Northern France had been liberated, and by the following Spring the allies had defeated the Germans. The Nazis who persecuted the Jews were sent to trials in Nuremberg. ¨Held for the purpose of bringing Nazi war criminals to justice, the Nuremberg Trials were a series of 13 trials carried out in Nuremberg, Germany between 1945 and 1949.¨ (History.com/ Nuremberg Trials 1) The Nuremberg trials were held for nazi criminals and high nazi officials. Including Adolf Hitler, Joseph Goebbel, and Heinrich Himmler. But all three commited suicide before they convicted. For the convictions there were three categories, War Crimes, Crimes against peace, and Crimes against humanity. The Nuremberg Trials impacted their world because it brought nazi criminals in prison and brought justice to civilians.
