In this passage, my mother and I listened to a discussion Eliezer and Moishe the Beadle had together. Moishe the Beadle asks Eliezer why does he pray. Eliezer is dumbfounded by the question as he his used to praying regularly. He replies to Moishe he does not know why prays. Moishe later tells him that people should ask God questions even though people won’t understand His reply.
In 27 BCE (Before Common Era) the Roman Empire was entering its golden age, “The Pax Romana.” During the Pax Romana, the citizens of all Roman cities enjoyed free food and entertainment along with access to all of the Roman amenities such as bathhouses, roads, and mail service. However in 180 CE (Common Era) the Roman empire took a turn for the worse and eventually the last empire fell in 476 CE. The once powerful Roman Empire was in shambles. So what happened to the empire?
1600 years ago the mediterranean people were doing the same thing that us modern day people are doing now, conquering, claiming, and fighting, but why were they doing this, and who were they doing it too? The Roman empire was one of the strongest empires in history, the “superpower of the Mediterranean world”. In 750 BCE Rome was founded and over time Rome’s wealth, territory, and popularity grew and grew as time went on. They conquered the land of Scotland and Spain, began to control the whole Mediterranean sea, established some colonies around North Africa, the middle east, Asia Minor, and Egypt. They were beginning to expand their empire into almost the entire continents of Asia, Europe, and Africa.
The Roman Empire lasted about 500 years from about 47 BC to AD 476. It started in Italy and eventually extended throughout Europe, western Asia, and northern Africa. Julius Caesar became dictator for life and was assassinated by the senate, however this began the transfer from a republic to an empire. The Roman Empire grew over time, getting bigger. Although it thrived, it fell around 476 C.E because of major issues.
Fourth, logos was also used in Julius Caesar. Shakespeare writes “he was ambitious, I slew him (III, ii, 25-26) Brutus seeks to demonstrate that the assassination was planned action based oh that fact it would have been good of Rome. Before the citizens were cheering Caesar now Brutus.
By comparing the use of ethos, logos, and pathos, in the speeches made by Brutus and Antony, it becomes clear that Antony is more persuasive. Even though the speech made by Brutus had some moments where it was superior overall it wasn’t as persuasive and Antony’s. Antony’s speech successfully convinces the crowd through the three elements being examined. Ethos is credibility for the speaker, by having ethos it becomes easier for the speaker to convince the crowd of something.

In the play Julius Caesar, by William Shakespeare Rome is struck with utter disorder after certain characters use ethos, pathos and logos to manipulate the people of Rome. One character who uses ethos, pathos and logos is Cassius to manipulate Brutus into joining the conspirators. Brutus also uses ethos, pathos and logo to justify his killing of Caesar. Last, Mark Antony uses ethos, pathos and logo to manipulate the Plebeians against Brutus and the conspirators. Thus, Cassius, Brutus and Mark Antony all use ethos, pathos and logos to manipulate one another and bring the people of Rome to their sides, resulting in total chaos.
Have you ever felt your loneliest even when surrounded by those who claim to be your closest friends? Have you ever gotten that uneasy feeling in the pit of your stomach when putting your trust in someone who has stood by your side for years? If Julius Caesar, would have paid attention to his surroundings, he might have lived to see another day. In spite of his friendship with Caesar, Marcus Brutus took it upon himself and the conspirators, to kill Caesar. In their eyes, they saw Caesar’s initiative to control Rome as disastrous for the well-being of the people.

There is also when you go to the gym and lose weight that's a good change also. It is helpful to change things if you don't like them. I myself have changed a lot over the years. I got taller i understand life more, and see from other peoples point of view in life. I've made these changed myself or rather i adapted to them.
Even though Christians were persecuted on and off during the Roman Empire, Christianity flourished. In the early Roman Empire, when Claudius, Nero, Domitian, and Trajan were emperors, Christianity was banned and Christians were persecuted. Nevertheless, Christians found ways to spread Christianity, and many people converted. As trials occurred and the Empire lost good leaders, the people took security in Christianity and other religions. Christianity grew during the Roman Empire because Constantine helped create the Edict of Milan, Constantine had imperial favor toward The Church, and there was trade routes to spread Christianity to different areas.
It was pretty simple growing up do this and do not do that, and to me life seemed so simple. Until. I had to grow up and started thinking on my own. As I began to experience people outside of my culture and outside of what I was used to I realized that maybe not everyone is christian after all, and that with the changing influences around me if I wanted to make Christianity a priority in my life I had to make something of my own.
