People have different perspectives and ideas on what started World War II. There are 3 mains

reasons that led up to World War II, worldwide depression, totalitarianism and the Russian

revolution. Each one of these examples contributed to each other. Although some people say

there are plenty of causes on what could have started World War II, These are my 3 main

reason worldwide depression, totalitarianism and the Russian revolution.

During World War I there was a World wide depression, because of the economic situation. The

Americans had called in their loans to Germany and this caused Germany industry to collapse

and this led to the rise of Hitler's power. Germany was blamed for the war and was in 33 billion

Germany didn't have

any money to pay other countries, so now everyone was economically broke. This was only a

small factor of why World War II started.

Totalitarianism was another small reason on what started World War,but it was not the main

important reason. Totalitarianism is when rulers have control over the way citizens think and

live. Rulers of Japan, Italy and Germany had totalitarianism government because they made

sure the citizens heard what the rulers wanted them to hear. They felt it was the right thing to do

and took it to a extreme level. Totalitarianism was one example of what started World War II.

The Russian revolution was another example of what help builded up World War II. During the

Russian revolution there was a shortage of food, poor leadership and corruption. Corruption is

being dishonest all the time for your own Benefit. The Russian revolution was the most

noticeable change during World War I. The revolution led to Russia becoming communist soviet

union which was another factor of what started World War II.
