Although wrestling is a very entertaining sport, the image that it gives off can also be viewed as violent, the children and adolescent viewers only see the wrestling and then try imitate what they see not taking into consideration that the wrestlers are trained actors and stunt men and in the result, someone gets really hurt.
Wrestling has been around for years. Viewers across the world love and enjoy this sport. This sport is very intense, exciting and entertaining. It is a real crowd pleaser and the younger generation just can’t get enough of it. Wrestling brings its viewers in like they are right there in the wrestling ring with them, although most are watching it from the privacy of their own living room. Billions of children and adolescents anticipate watching wrestling on Television, going to live shows, playing it on their video game systems and even just playing with their action figures imitating what they see the professional wrestlers do on television. Not really knowing that wrestling is a trained sport and that the actual wrestlers are actors who are taught and trained how to safely do a wrestling move on their opponent. All they really see is their favorite wrestlers fighting and winning. So many of them try to imitate what they see. There have been several incidents where children have gotten hurt at home or in school because of them imitating what they see on television. According to CBS News In Dallas, Texas, a 3-year-old boy was accidentally killed when his 7-year-old brother tried out a wrestling move on him known as the clothesline. The boy ran towards his little brother, slamming his arm into his neck. The older boy was a fan of “Stone Cold Steve Austin” and “The Undertaker” “The boy said that he had seen the move done on wrestling”. Another incident in South Florida a 13-year-old boy was convicted of murder
