Flying use to be just about the birds and bugs flying in the sky, until the Wright Brothers came along. Throughout history mankind has been so fascinated with the idea about flying. Most people even wish if they had a superpower, it would be so that they could fly. During the 20th century the dream of flying became an actual reality. Wilbur and Orville Wright were about to come up with an idea that allowed them to form an airplane that flew a machine that was heavier than air itself. Contacting the Untied States War Department and the governments of other countries the brothers were turned down, time after time again. Many people took the Wright brothers plane as a joke, however, finally in 1907 the U.S. Army asked for an aircraft and another aircraft was wanted in 1908 by a French businessman. The planes that were sold were adapted so that they could carry a passenger. After testing these planes, the brothers went their separate ways, Wilbur went to France while Orville headed to Virginia. Both of the brothers flew the planes showing what each was capable of in their new spots. Whenever Orville flew his he lost a propeller and ended up crashing and killing the passenger that was flying with him. While Orville only walked away with a broken leg. Wilbur was flying in France during this time, breaking records, Orville eventually joined him in France. The Wright brothers were setting up factories and lessons for flight schools in the Atlantic. However, many people started to copy their work whenever it was released to the public. People started to build more and even better aircrafts and by 1911 the Wright brothers no longer had the best flying machines. In 1912 Wilbur ended up passing away from a typhoid, and his brother Orville was crushed and no longer had the drive for the airplane business without his brother Wilbur.
