The inventor of Robert fulton was born in little britain township on november 14 1765. The inventor of the steam boat is Robert Fulton. Robert Fulton is often miss credited for inventing the steam engine but he also invented other things he invented the first successful commercial steam boat which traveled against the Hudson River current at a steady five miles per hour and thirty two hours later the ship arrived in albany another 32 hours later the ship returned home.
