The three qualities necessary for survival are Determination, Patience,
Dedication. With these three qualities you will be able to survive most situations you are in. You always need a plan that you can commit to for your survival.
The first quality of survival is Determination. Determination is needed in order to survive a grave task and having a strong mental strength to be able to carry out the plan you made. A example of determination is in “X-ray Vision Archeology Reveals Holocaust Escape Tunnel” by Julia Davis. “80 Jews began their escape from the pit where they were being held prisoner through a 100-foot tunnel that had been painstakingly dig by hand” 4th Paragraph. A example of patience is in the poem “The Survival” by Marilyn Chin. “Don't tap your chopsticks against your bowl. Don't throw your teacup against the wall. Don't suck on your long black braid and weep.” Lines 1-3. She is trying to keep that anger inside her body so that she doesn't burst it out in a fit or rage. You need that patience to hold that rage or anger, maybe even despair inside you to be strong and show yourself to be strong.

The third quality of survival is Dedication. Dedication is needed to survive those long times or that task that seems almost impossible to achieve.
A example of this is in the poem “The End and The Beginning” by Wizlawa Symborska. “Someone has to get mixed in scum and ashes” Line 9-10. You have to have that person who is dedicated enough to dig down into the scum and ashes and clean it out. You need to be dedicated to what you need to do and carry out what you need to have be done in order to continue on.

The three qualities of survival being Determination, Patience, and
Dedication. You can see that those people had to either make a plan and be so determined to get it done, wait patiently holding those emotions in, and consider yourself to be dedicated to complete those things to get down.
