Even Though people try to invent certain things intended for good majority of the time it is being used for bad things. In Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, the science that is being discussed is the creation of a human body. Victor Frankenstien used natural energy to spark up the creation process by using lighting, and metal rods. To actually make the creature, victor took different body parts from different dead humans such as a different head, legs, and arms. “His limbs were in proportion, and I had selected his features as beautiful, Beautiful! As Derek Dore suggests that the sole purpose of this drug that the company Upjohn created was to help people battle with depression and other psychological issues. In the article Derek Dore explains “Long-term abuse and addiction to Xanax is associated with depression, psychotic experiences, and aggressive or impulsive behavior, according to the Coalition Against Drug Abuse”(Dore 2). The word abuse was carefully chosen to dictate the big social issue that Xanax is doing to our society today. The aggressive and impulsive behavior caused by Xanax can relate back to the creature in Frankenstein. All the monster wanted to do was make friends and be apart of a family, but Dr. Frankenstein kicked him to the curb and abandoned him. Victor was trying to hide the creature that he made because he was afraid of what people were going think of him. He also began to fear what type of bad things they thought that he was going to do. These were the main reasons that prompted the creature to reach his boiling point and become evil. This lesson just shows how selfish some people in the regular world can be towards things of the unknown. Dr. Frankenstein was being inconsiderate when it came to the creature, and he turned him away when the creature only saw him as his only form of family. This relates directly back to Xanax and how people are prescribed medication to help them out with their problems in life and they go and abuse it giving the drug a totally bad image.
