At Monroe Jefferson there was a star basketball player. His name was Xion Lagrant. Xion was ranked number two out of every 7th grader in the country. He was 5”2 and 92 pounds. Xion was a point guard and wore the number 3. He had a short curly Afro with it faded a little on the side. After a game at Monroe Jefferson Middle school a boy named Pete from Rockford had come to scout him. That game Xion had 32 points and 9 assist. As Xion walked home from the game he heard Pete call his name. When Xion turned around he got punched in the face. He could feel shooting pains up through his arm every time he moved it. It was a 25 minute walk but to xion it felt like 10 hours. When he finally got home he told his parents his right shoulder was really bothering him. When he said that his mom asked what happened and all he said was “I don’t know it just hurts.” Eventually his parents took him to the E.R later that night. At the office the doctor asked what happened but Xion said he didn’t know because he was too embarrassed. After doing a couple of test on his shoulder the doctor told him he dislocated it and will be in a sling for 6 weeks. That meant that he was out for the season. As soon as he heard this Xion’s heart sank. The next day when Xion got to school he got a ton of questions of why he was in a sing. Xion sat there for a little bit debating in his head weather or not he should tell them the real story. When he came to the decision of saying the real story he had to spit it out. When he got done telling his story Xion got a lot of sympathy. But after the sympathy the hardest question to answer came up. It was can you play for the game against against Rockford.
