For the majority of my life I have been able to say I have one close friend. Between elementary and middle school that person relayed to the next and somehow I managed to keep this one by my side for five years. Unfortunately, this is year six and I have found myself completely alone. I have never had an issue with being alone, in fact I will never turn down the opportunity to be by myself. Alone time equates reading time and reading time means I get to become a new person. In elementary school, my book of choice revolved around clans of cats that lived the forest. I became the warrior cat that I so desperately wished my parents would let me adopt despite my severe allergy of them. This series never won me the popular vote from my fellow third graders. In middle school, my book of choice was whatever Y/A dystopian novel was to be made into a movie next. Bandwagon reading was my thing mostly because it was easier to talk about books with people because it's not quite as lame if its about to be a major blockbuster.

It's kind of a technology thing. When we post on social media, we are plastering the message that we have great friends who go to exciting places with us. When we don't post on social media, we are doing the opposite: we aren't supporting that we are awesome and functional people who are super fun and sociable. What matters in the external appearance of inclusivity. But when I’m reading, I get to ignore the demand that I try to be labelled socially accepted. I love to read because the outside world dissolves away and the little things start to matter less. But still, all of it has to come to an end. When the happily ever after passes I have to go back to whatever reality I've been attempting to put off. Not to be dramatic but it makes me want to throw myself on the floor and cry. Why does a story so good have to end? Can’t the author just continue to write the story for
