When I analyze this painting, my eyes are drawn to the building in the bottom left which seems to resemble a church. It has a white steeple and roof line along with light red brick for the walls. The color, style, size, and position of this particular building sets it apart from the rest of the buildings which all seem to blend together along the composition. The building’s edge meets right with the fence line along the field in the bottom left corner of the piece. It prompts viewers to begin their focus on the left of the painting instead of drawing our eyes directly to the center.
The individual pops out because it seems to be the brightest subject in the piece. It is framed by darker areas around it such as the dark part of the rocks and the deep blue water. To conclude, the artist used elements of subject and form to create a meaning that I believe is interpreted by the viewers. This piece Northeastern Gorge At Appledore by Hassam caused me to feel free and want to explore nature and surroundings for myself. It successfully used color that made me think of wanting to find a place to swim in a gorge for
This is an image that I stumbled upon as I was browsing through my instagram feed. The unique architecture, different colors, and interesting visual elements stood out to me and made me want to perceive the meaning of this image. After reading chapter 2, I was able to identify the form, color, depth, and perspective. Each of these visual cues are present and work together to give this image more meaning and visual appeal. In terms of form, the triangle shape is dominant in this image because there are a lot of them and they are also very large in size.
Heavy rain comes followed by the sounds of the threatening storms. This visual appearance done in the film is so effective, as it gives a thrilling effect as to what is going to happen next. Also, the ominous storm creates excitement
The author uses imagery and personification to help with the poems theme. The author says "I wait for you with cool, blue arms and silver face". This give off a imagery how lake looks and the use of personification give off that the lake is waiting for the speaker no matter what.
As I mention before, Inscription are located around the sculpture. The beach is divided into two scenes divided into two registers with Yuny and Renenutet making and receiving an offering. Also, the ground line is placed between the two registers. In both registers, all figures have a composite profile. Yuny and Renenutet are also seated on a similar chair like the one they are seated in with similar clothing.
Weather is a motif that reoccurs frequently during important
Behind him, another man is holding some instruments. In the background, there are waves of blue. At the left side of the painting, there are lightening bolts. At the bottom left of the painting, there is a board connecting the ground to the boats, allowing some animals to enter. Behind that, there is a person on a ladder, carrying an item on their back.
Viewing the painting, brightens the light in the artwork. There is a sense of reality as the light seems to move through the clouds. The faces of the characters are shown by light and there is an effect of light moving by walking in front of the scene. Emotions are evoked when one looks at this scene. There is a state of protection and safety.
The main focus of the painting is the architectural aspect. The scene is dominated by the main building and the large arched bridge that juts out in front of it. It is proportionally placed within the canvas. The width of the central façade makes up the central portion of the painting with the doorway being centered within the entire composition.
Nonetheless the children did not spend numerous amounts of time by themselves embracing the true meaning and understanding the beauty of nature “river”, it seems as if they were controlled with rules, obligation, and regulation to learn how to prevent massive destruction of the riverbanks in New Mexico. Also, most people in the communities see the river now as meaningless because of the pollution and disaster that occurs in the river. Once the children intend to experience the natural beauty around the riverbank it just happens that chaos and anger are all the children could interact with nature. Therefore, the children should experience the beauty of riverbanks that has not been polluted and the ones that have and compare and contrast together that would have helped the children rather than just allowing the children to explore polluted surroundings. This is one notion, I disagree with the
Through the use of imagery, Yasunari Kawabata creates a still, quiet, and serene atmosphere in his short story ¨Girl Who Approached the Fire.¨ The story starts with the description of a lake: ¨The water of the lake glittered in the distance. It was the color of a stagnant spring in an old garden on a moonlit evening¨ (para. 1). The description of the lake compares its color to that of a static time unaffected by the world. Kawabata´s diction in the second sentence engenders the image of stillness in a uneventful area. The word ¨stagnant¨ leads to the thought of stillness.
In the art piece, the more notable figures in the foreground are the figures that look similar to boats. There are a total of six boat figures in the foreground. Three are closer to the left side of the painting, and are more detailed. The other three boat
This makes us instantly look at them. The wide space between the man and woman has no major distractions within in, the artist could have filled that space with some interesting art, but chose not to because it would have drawn the viewers’ attention away from the woman and man. The authors choice of color is quite plain, but the bright colors that follow the sides of the viewing box help guide the viewers eyes to the man in the background, assisting the implied created by the railings. The author used value in the artwork to show what is important. The woman’s body is heavily shaded and doesn’t catch the viewer’s eye.
Throughout the story, the narrator hints towards smaller instances that symbolize the central theme of the story—absence or the loss of love. The recollection of painting over the wallpaper in which the narrator says, “I thought of the bits of grapes that remained underneath and imagined the vine popping through, the way some plants can tenaciously push through anything” (Beattie 108) symbolizes how their love was unable to
