The Chief Executive officer or better known as CEO of a company plays an important role to lead a company. It is his duty to execute a company’s long term strategy for the success of the company .He/She is responsible to the shareholders, employees, stakeholders and government last but not the least the public. It is his duty to ensure that the company’s policy is implemented in the correct and wrightful manner in order not to tarnish the success of the company. The leader have to make a post mortem of every plan executed and corrective measueres have to be taken in order to address every problem faced by the company. It is the role of the leader to realise the negative effect the company may create, let it be to the employees, customers or public and he should take necessary measures to overcome this. From the excerpt given, we also learn that this leader has taken necessary action to address the damage he had created to the environment, he donated 1% of the company’s annual sales to grassroot environmental groups. This example has been followed by other companies. This proves that the leader does not only makes a difference to the success of his company but also set examples for other companies to follow in order to succeed. Besides, it is also the duty of the leader to ascess the principle risk of the company and to make sure all risk factors are monitored and managed
