Yvonne Allen does not have any right to wear her headscarf in her licence photo due to the security issues it would create. She believes that her rights are being infringed upon, but doesn't realize that a licence is a privilege not a right. It is hard to argue this fact when it says literally nowhere in any law or precedent that any U.S. citizen has any right to a licence. Allen only uses two defenses one of which is how her faith is tested “in a way that was humiliating and demeaning”(8), a judge will never consider this as a good defense on why she should get her licence, because it is based on emotions not law.
