The author of American Wasteland, Jonathan Bloom, uses many techniques to steer readers in his direction. Bloom talks about a big issue concerning American in 2010 and is still an issue today in 2016, six years after he wrote this book. As a result of broad research, the main issue today is expiration dates and how state regulations and laws promote food waste (Linnekin). As other books, articles, and documentaries explain this issue they use evidence, positive and negative connotations, and bias to connect with a general audience or supporters.
Poseidon liked to claim coastal cities as his own since he was god of the sea. Once, Poseidon and Athena went head to head over ownership of a city which would later be named after the victor. The story goes that Athena and Poseidon held a contest to see which one would be able to control the beautiful coastal city. Poseidon raised his hand and made a stream. When the people drank from the stream it turned out to be saltwater, not freshwater.
Zeus is a god of all gods. Zeus throw lightning in he is showing his anger. Zeus had to twice with Leto it was Apollo in his sister. The Greek God of light is Apollo.
Twins born from the king of Gods and a daughter of the Titans. Leto, among the favorites of Zeus’ lovers, caught the eye Of the infuriated Hera, who sought to push Leto out of Olympus. She forbade any place under the heavens and sun, To offer shelter to the deity and her unborn children.
In the poem called Works and Days, written by an ancient Greek poet Hesiod, a god named Prometheus gives mankind the gift of fire without the consent of Zeus. This infuriates Zeus, which results him to punish Prometheus by inflicting him with eternal pain. Not only did Zeus punish Prometheus, but he also penalized mankind. In Hesiod's poem, it mentions, "The price for the stolen fire will be a gift of evil to charm the hearts of all men as they hug their own doom" (45).
Poseidon is the God of the sea. Ocean, devastation, evacuation, and flooding are some words people link when they hear about hurricanes. Whether they have witnessed one or not, no one would ever want to go through this natural disaster. Poseidon is the god of the sea and myth says that he controls all water. His powers are not limited to creating these disasters.
When Hera found out, she disguised herself as the Semele's nurse and convinced her to have Zeus show himself to her in his true form. So when Zeus showed up with his loud thunder and bright lightning, he ended up killing her by the power of those forces. He was able to save her aborted baby, their son, Dionysus. Hera also had one other of Zeus's many lovers, Lamia Queen of Libya, turned into a monster and murdered her

For some reason Strepsiades changes what he believes from the Clouds and Vortex to Zeus. He claims that “[he] only believed that because of this image here” (1473).
On the island Zeus was raised and taken care of by nymphs of the sea. When Zeus got older and matured he decided to over throw his father. He wanted to over throw his father to take revenge for swallowing his brothers and sisters. Zeus also wanted to overthrow Cronus to take charge and become powerful. He become friends with a titaness or nymph Metis.
When he got there the other gods and goddesses were very confused. So Zeus had no choice but to explain. After Zeus told the story of Galexes he went on and told them about his problem Hades the god of the underworld let him use his Chariot to haul around multiple number of junk at a time. After thanking Hades Galexes went back to space and re organized all the space junk. After he finished he returned Hades chariot thanked him and went back to space.
Child Soldiers are recruited when government groups that fight either in wars, and are forced into fighting with adults. Leaders who encourage Child Soldiers are once children who were brainwashed, manipulated, and encouraged to fight. For example, Dominic Ongwen who was abducted into the LRA, had been changed into a new life. He has made horrible actions which lead him into Court after being encouraged for other Child Soldiers to be abducted. Child Soldiers should not be recruited because of the terrifying scenes that take place during wars.
He did what heroes do, and cut Andromeda free, and the gods remained unappeased. So with a disinterested, effortless flick of his hand, Poseidon casts her into the sky; Cassiopeia, queen of Aethiopia. She goes with a whisper of sea air, salt still upon her tongue.
When he attempted to hide Io, Zeus simply covered the Earth with a cloud. Hera immediately noticed something was wrong, and when she came down to investigate, her husband turned his lover into a heifer. Both of these myths hint that the Lord of the Sky is actually desperate. As in the myth of Europa, Zeus was willing to demean himself for the chance to sleep with a mortal woman. In order to get Europa, Zeus was convinced to turn into a bull and kidnap unsuspecting Europa.
In art, the Gods were given human bodies and characters just like ordinary people. Some Gods were good, while others were bad. Zeus, the king of the Gods, controlled weather. The thunderbolt was his most powerful weapon. The British Museum states that the ancient Greeks believed that when lightning struck the earth, it was a sign on Zeus being present.
