The Gates by Christo and Jeanne-Claude The Gates were realized in Central Park, NYC 30 years after artists Christo and Jeanne-Claude came up with the idea. The gates consisted of three sided that rested on metal legs. The fabric panels appeared on the top. The gates color matched the fabric. There were: 7503 16 feet gates, 23 long walkways. Snowboarding, like any other sport, one must be thinking at all times, analyzing situations, making split decisions, and making quick calculations. Before my trip, I had only flown on an airplane once, never by myself, I have never seen a mountain so big, and I had zero experience snowboarding. If I only knew then what I know now, I would have entered this new experience with more confidence in myself. Two Artists that convey the sense of freedom in their projects by working outside the Art world system are Christo and Michael Heizer. Their projects are innovative and definitely ambitious. The Classical world section was filled with many different sculptures and works of art from the Greeks, Romans, and Italians, while the other sections featured artists like Pablo Picasso and Chuck Close.
