took Arthur six years to write “Memoirs of a Geisha” and in that time he rewrote it three times completely and tried multiple different character perspectives. After he had published his book “Memoirs of a Geisha” he was sued by a woman named Mineko Iwasaki for a breach of contract. Arthur told her he would keep her information confidential due to that she had revealed personal information about some of her clients. It was later settled out of court in 2003. So in the “Memoirs of a Geisha” it follows
