In the play Twelve Angry Men there was a man prosecuted with the stabbing his father at the chest. 12 Jurors had to decide if the boy was guilty or not, I would say he is not guilty for two main reasons. First a quote in the book stated “I think it’s logical to say that she was not wearing her eye glasses to bed, and I don’t think she put them on to casually look out the window” (page 61). This quote shows that the witness from the plaintiff could not have seen the crime happen without her glasses on. My last reasoning on why I think the boys not guilty is because Juror 5 said “ who’s ever used a switch blade befor would never stab the knife downward” (page 56).
In the novel, Fools Crow, written by James Welch, the act of revenge is shown numerous times and is an underlying theme throughout. These acts of revenge reflect the Blackfeet way of life. Yellow Kidney, Owl Child, and the rest of the tribe all show signs of revenge and each express it in their own way. This is especially prevalent with Yellow Kidney and Owl Child as they seem to be constantly seeking revenge of some sort. Yellow Kidney wanted revenge on Fast Horse throughout the novel.

Characters are placed in books, films, and tv-shows to serve a purpose and effect the storyline, whether this character plays a major or miniscule role their intent is to change details within the story. Tom Robinson in “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee, was a character who could make an impact in the beginning of the novel without being present in it himself. His name was enough to set a blaze in other characters hearts. When formally introduced to the readers most of the town already decided his fate in the trial against Mayella Ewell an “innocent” white woman. The majority of Maycomb County were white men and women who despised all black people no matter their individual traits.
One reason our justice system is dangerous is due to stereotypical jurors. Stereotypical jurors can have an impact on the verdict. In the play, Twelve Angry Men, the majority of the jurors are stereotypical. Their opinions aren’t based off of the facts, only by their belief of how they see certain people are. Juror four stereotypes the boy on jury because he grew up in the slums.
“The mark of an immature man is that he wants to die nobly for a cause while the mark of the mature man is that he wants to live humbly for one.” Mr.Antolini gives that advice to Holden hoping it would change the mindset about life to Holden. The quote has a purpose to portray that a mature man will understand that he can benefit a cause by being alive and living his life for the cause whereas the immature man dies for a cause and the death wont benefit the cause. People can do more by staying alive than being dead.
Throughout the book Les Miserable, Jean does selfless acts that could potentially put his life in danger, however that did not stop him, he always seemed to do the right things. To start off, “The arm seized a loaf of bread and took it out… The thief had thrown away they bread… It was Jean Valjean” (23). Jean was not stealing the bread out of selfishness, it was to feed his sister and his sisters kids who were starved to death.
ISU Essay In the Short story, Rita Hayworth and The Shawshank Redemption by Stephen King is about a man that Is wrongfully convicted of murder, gets sentenced to prison then has to face problems in prison. The Shawshank prison is a corrupt prison with underhanded actions from the guards and inmates. Andy Dufresne, the wrongfully convicted man, never gave up on himself and he always had hope that some of the problems that he is facing will stop. The sisters, a group of thirsty men that rape other inmates to fill their sexual needs.
Twelve Angry Men “A person is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.” In the play, Twelve Angry Men by Reginald Rose, a nineteen years old is on trial for the murder of his father. After many pieces of evidence were presented, the three that are weak include the one of a kind knife, the old men who heard the words “I’m going to kill you!” and the woman who is in question because of her glasses. Based on these, the boy is not guilty.
This process continues throughout the course of the movie, and each juror’s biases is slowly revealed. Earlier through the movie, it is already justifiable to label juror 10 as a bigoted racist as he reveals strong racist tendencies against the defendant, stating his only reason for voting guilty is the boy’s ethnicity and background. . Juror Ten announces his intentions very early in the play. He speaks loudly and forcefully from the beginning, clearly showing his racism and prejudice towards the boy. Juror 10 quickly votes guilty and asserts that the defendant cannot be believed because “they’re born liars”. Additionally, he claims that the “kids who crawl outa those places are real trash.”

The greater part of the members of the jury vote "Guilty," with the exception of the Eighth Juror, who votes "Not Guilty," which, because of the prerequisite of a consistent jury, constrains them to talk about the case. The members of the jury respond brutally against this contradicting vote.
