"Oh God!" is a 1977 technicolor film about an assistant manager in a Los Angeles supermarket whom God has appointed to spread the Word. He was a good man; loyal to the company he works for, an ethical manager, a man who works hard and loves his family as well. God has appeared before him several times in the movie. At first, he didn't believe. He even said he was not a religious person. But after a few conversations and hilarious efforts that God did, he wanted to share what God said to him.
He used the media to gain public coverage. He went to the Los Angeles Times' religious editor. He was invited in a talk show. People didn't believe him; thinking he was a "nut", even his kids was embarrassed of him and his wife got frustrated. However, …show more content…

Although in my opinion, it did have a few inconsistencies. For example, God (George Burns) said He can't appear before Jerry but as I've said in the summary, he did make an appearance; not only to Jerry but in the courtroom as well. God here also said that He is not a fan of miracles because it was "too flashy" but then He goes into the courtroom and works two miraculous acts. In addition, I also found trouble with the script when comparing it to biblical statements. First, in the book of Genesis where God has created the world in six days and rested on the seventh day. In the movie, He created it in one day. Second, the book of John, Job, and psalms describe God's perfect knowledge of creation. Yet, in the film, He supposedly made some mistakes. To specify, He didn't like that the avocados were too big and that. Moreover, I doubt the validity of the line saying that God doesn't understand why He put shame in us. The reason is that, historically, I believe God made Adam and Eve perfect. He made man according to His image and likeness. The serpent is what drove man away from this nature. That said, I believe 'shame' isn't God's work at
