In our mondern society, human beings are rapidly losing their human qualities. With things such as murder, racism, rape, and so on , its hard to look at todays society without being dissapointed. The way of living , the human standards , and the mind sets of those in the book 1984 are becoming more and more like todays soceity everyday. George Orwell wrote a Nonfictional book that later proved to be a prediction of what the future holds.
First, In 1984 "big brother" watched every move the people of Oceania made, The Party controlled the thoughts of the poeple and how they lived their life. Just like today the government can hack into almost any of our virtual devices. For example, The National Security Agency can go into most social media networks

Telescreens were also used to spy on citizens and continuesly watch them 24 hours a day. Our National
Security Agency are capable of "wire tapping" and listening to calls. George Orwell talks about an
"endless war" between Oceania and Eastasia and in todays modern world the war on terror has been endless, Therfore contradicting the book. The citizens that chose to rebel against the party and believe that there was more to life than just Oceania were vaporized or tortured and sent to room 101. Today a recent discovery in our government has found that there were multiple "black room" our CIA had to torture those who they thought hated america. Our human standards has stooped to an all time low just like the Oceanian government, we kill those who we dont like for example, gangs, school shootings, domestic violence. We as a society are losing are morals and becoming exactly like Oceania.
Secondly, there are multiple ways that todays society is nothing like George Orwells book 1984.
Our government gives the people of America numerous rights as in Oceania the people have no say. The mind of an Amercian may run as freely as possible because our government gives us the oppurtunity
