Campbell discusses the evolution of bullying, its impacts and also prevention and also raising awareness against this problem. Websites have also been set up to vote for the ugliest girl and boy where many get involved. This can cause a serious effect on a person life. Cyber bullying mostly happens in the western culture and more developed countries rather than underdeveloped countries. For face-to-face bullying most studies have shown that boys and girls report similar levels of victimization (Crick & Grotpeter, 1996; Smith & Shu, 2000). However, some studies report more boys being bullied than girls (Hazler, Hoover, & Oliver, 1992; Rigby, 1997; Rigby & Slee, 1991). The main consequence of such bullying is that it may cause depression, anxiety and psychosomatic symptoms in victims (Kaltiala-Heino, Rimpela, Rantanen, & Rimpela, 2000; Kumpulainen et al., 1998; Neary & Joseph, 1994; Roland, 2002). Some may not be able to handle that pressure and it may even lead to death.
