Cyberbullying One in five teens say they have been bullied on the internet at least once. Also know that cyberbullying and bullying in general is the 3rd leading cause of death amongst teens in the United States. Even with all the people standing up against it more and more everyday there is still and always will be the oppressors in the world. Cyber Bullying goes unnoticed as actual bullying most of the time, but cyberbullying can be very harmful, and sometimes even fatal.

In 2014, 80 patients in one week in a mental help institute out of the 80, there were 35 bullying patients. This is a real world problem and it has to have something done to it. This bullying can affect one mentally and emotionally as this statement goes for anyone. Anything happening to you enough can take a toll on you does not matter how strong you are mentally or even physically. The percentages in the 50s 60s 70s 80s were far more different back then, high school bullying or even any bullying should have its end. He or she has not overcame their own fears or insecurities so they feel the need to take it out on another harmless person who has been doing nothing to them. The people of age, senior in high school junior or even sophomore etc. could think they’re more above the people that they are bullying. Or the difference in the sex plays a big role in bullying. These people being bullied can be of any age and they’re being harmed everyday. With all the new trends in society and the emergence of different genders, it creates a new form of bullying. Gender shaming is one of the most ruthless forms of shaming that creates many kids to think negatively towards themselves and sometimes commit suicide. A stat from the website Nobullying.com shows that, “82% of transgender youth report that they feel unsafe at school, 44% of them had been abused physically (ex. punched, shoved, etc.), 67% of them had been bullied online, and 64% of them had their property stolen or destroyed” (NoBullying.com) All of these children are physically abused which will lead to mental trauma and other forms of psychological diseases later in their life or right now in the moment. People in this day and age do not get how much bullying takes an effect on people and how they can act whenever it is happening to them.
