The article connects to the areas technology and life. This is because, the article is about how 3D printers and life science (anthropology and biology) are being used to help living, breathing creatures survive. The scientists involved in the article, technologists and a biomedical engineer (study of technology and humans).
3D printers have been around since 1983 and were invented by Charles ‘Chuck’ Hull [2] and can be found around the world. This year, scientists have invented hand-held 3-D printers that use plastic and heat to allow you to create 3D objects.[1] The hand held printers heat up the plastic just so that as soon as you allow the plastic to come out it hardens.[5]

Summary

The biomedical engineers print the cells onto a gel block that will later dissolve. “3D printing cells can damage them” and the gel can have chemicals in it that can kill the cells . My opinion of the article was that there were not enough details or facts. To me, I thought there needed to be more details to explain certain parts like, ”without damaging the cells”. How would you damage the cells? However the article did give some valuable information that you could use such as, “blood vessels are a vital part of the body’s circulatory system”. Some things I did have to go and research further with lead to more
