Most of those who lost their lives had worked on the ninth floor. Also, the doors from the shop areas were locked, to keep the women at their sewing machines. That's unsafe for the workers. Some workers managed to escape to the roof.
Just thinking that one of your family members could be dead right now if one flight wouldn 't have been canceled is kind of a scary feeling. 9/11 changed America forever and it will never be the same. Many people sat in front of televisions and radios listening hoping there loved ones would come home. Some even expected calls. Al Qaeda attacked the WTC for many reasons.
Eric was observed in the living room of his home with his sitter present. As the observation started, the sitter brought out several toys including a bag of blocks. She opened the bag and dumped the blocks out. She then asked Eric if he wanted to build a tower. He responded by saying, “A choo choo train” and repeated this several times.

Every American knows of the horrifying terror attacks that took place on September 11th, 2001, in New York and Washington, DC. The terrorist organization al Qaeda hijacked four airlines and flew two of them into the World Trade Center in New York, and one of them into the Pentagon in Washington. The fourth plane was stopped mid flight by its brave passengers and did not reach its intended target. Innocent civilians were now the casualties of war waged by an extremist muslim terrorist group based out of Afghanistan. The United States had never witnessed any terrorist attack of this size on its own soil previous to 2001.
Fifteen years after the fateful date of September 11, 2001, this school year marks the first year that almost no American high school freshman was alive for the day forever engrained in America's past. Anyone old enough to remember that clear Tuesday morning can pinpoint what he or she was doing when the press released the astounding news: a plane had crashed into the north tower of the World Trade Center. No matter how routine their day may have been, most witnesses can at least recall their feelings, as the American sense of safety would forever be tainted. Life changes Where were you on September 11, 2001? Almost every American citizen remembers exactly where they were and what they were doing on that day because it is such a historic moment for the United States. America completely changed after 9/11 nobody’s life was the same, everyone from the President of the United States to the mailman felt the effects of 9/11, and that included my Grandfather. My grandfather is named Vernon Cotten and he is a judge in a small town in Mississippi called Carthage that has a population of 5,000. He remembers the tragedy vividly.
Personal Response: I thought this was a good book and it got right to the point. I liked how the author made Lucas 's family a part of the fire department. It gave it an inside look on how the firefighters were affected. I really liked that there were facts about the real September 11th at the very end of the book.

Men and women prepared themselves for another work day and school children settled in their seats for a day’s lesson. But before the mornings of people’s everyday life could begin, a tragic incident occurred, killing thousands of American citizens and breaking the hearts of many more. B. The 9/11 tragedy was a moment where people had their guard up at all times. This was a time where life had strike to reality of time warfare with every person and country. Couldn’t trust no one that came to the U.S. America is the land of the free and the home of the brave, were brave because the generations before us had to face what had happened and to what is going to happen. This had left the buildings torn instantly killing hundreds of many people, getting them stuck in the higher floors. We all witnessed what happened on that day. Most of us 8th graders stood in disbelief. No one around me could speak but watch the mass tribulation unravel. Our country was under attack and for most of us life was about to change. My family soon changed after 9/11 and faced an uproar reality.
Nearly the whole country watched in horror on the morning of September 11, 2001. As the planes crashed and the towers burned, many thought it simply wasn’t true.
