The Tango is a Latin America partner dance that is characterized by having a variety of versions and articulate motions. The tango was developed around the mid 19th century, originating in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Uruguay in South America. African and European influences contributed to the early Latin creation of the dance as slaves would dance recreationally to music and with others. The dance started to diffuse to Europe as immigrants would bring their culture, soon enough extending out to the rest of the Americas and globally.
