Tangerine It’s clear to see that Erik Fisher is a cold blooded, heartless person, but what are some of the affects that his actions have on Paul? Paul Fisher has hidden in dark covered by Erik shadow. And the whole time everyone thinks of Erik as the perfect child, when in reality he is very far from it. He is just a big bully and jerk to anyone that dares to stand in his way of his deceiving plans. Eriks choices impact Paul majorly by, making him legally blind, lowering his self esteem, and killing his best friend. A choice made by Erik affects paul by making him legally blind. A while back when they still lived in Houston, Erik had a friend named Caster his previous “partner in crime” (Bloor 73). And one day, Paul got accused by Erik and Castor of snitching on them for spraying painting a wall, but Paul wasn't the one who snitched. Regardless they came up with a brutal punishment, they spray painted his eyes. Which made him legally blind. And for his whole life paul was lied too on how he became blind, he was told that he stared into a lunar eclipse too long. So when all the kids asked why he had those big glasses on he told them what he thought was the truth, and for that reason they just laughed, pointed, and bullied him. …show more content…

Erik does this in many different vicious ways, like calling him mean names for wearing those big old glasses. Erik does all these things throughout the story to make sure paul thinks lesser of himself, this is so paul would never stand up to him for all the deceiving things Erik did. Paul always accepted the way he treated him. He never tried to put a stop to him or get him in trouble, this was until the voice of Luiz Cruz got into his head and told him to make a difference. Shortly after, he talked to the police and spilt all the info he knew about the situation, and so this finally put an end to all Erik’s scheming
