In Susan Percy's article, "A Kinder, Gentler Agriculture," she interviews Will Harris, an organic farmer from Georgia. Percy and Harris discuss the various aspects of organic farming and how and when he decided to make the switch to organic. Harris considers himself a "steward" of the land and the animals that he raises. The farm Harris owns has been in his family for over 100 hundreds and was a factory farm when he took control of it. After that, they discuss the economics of sustainable farming and what Harris' plans are for the future. The cost of Harris' products are higher than that of factory farms, yet Harris doesn't consider his customers rich he chooses to call the sophisticated.
