To start off with Linda Sue Park used a great amount of craft moves throughout A Long Walk To Water. There were dozens of different craft moves you could use but only a few pleasant ones. One important event is Nya and Salva end up meeting each other at the end of the book. Another great event is Salvas village getting attacked by rebels. It makes Salva who he is because of that traumatizing experience. Throughout A Long Walk To Water Linda Sue Park created a great amount of craft moves for each character. Linda Sue Park used abundant craft moves throughout the book to develop the first character put out which was Nya. In the beginning of the book Nya is at the waterfront getting water as she feels something bizarre. For example, “with her hands, she would dig a hole in the damp clay of the lakebed” (26). This is an alliteration because its not without a doubt clay its just soft and feels like it. This helped the reader visually understand what she was feeling. Towards the end of the book Nya is also at the waterfront again but drilling into the water to come into possession of for everyone. For example, “The giraffe was a tall drill that had been brought to the village by the two men who had visited earlier” (70). This is a metaphor.
