Adam Swift is a political philosopher, who wrote “The Morality of School Choice” in 2004. Adam Swift argues against parents sending their children to private schools instead of public schools. Adam Swift disagrees with parents sending their children to public school because he believes that all children must have equal opportunities in life. This reflective summary would discuss why he argues that children must have opportunities when it comes to early education, and why his argument should not be valid. Adam Swift mentioned in this article that private schools are only bad for those who do not attend them. He puts up this argument because for those who their parents can send them to private schools have better education, quality of life, and opportunities in life. His argument would limit the freedom of choice that parents tend to make for their children. If we want to look at it from the being fair level, we see many children in the Third World do not get a chance to go to schools because of their state and their need to survive. How is it fair then when we say children should not go to private schools, but can go to public school so they all can have equal opportunities? Maybe the state should do something about public schools and make them as good as the private one, at that point then we do not private schools.
