There is no main character, there are many characters. There 's the author and she is tall with blonde hair. She has a deep personality in the book, she has very abusive relationship, that she wants to get out of but doesn 't know how. She has rape poems that I think she thought of, or was inspired by with a TV show. The setting in San Diego, California, I believe it 's present day. This book is an eight, because it has lots of details and very interesting topics that express feeling in a different way. This book explains what happens and how it makes Jewel feel. If you were to compare this book to a Shel Silverstein book, it would be deeper and more crime related book. Although if you think that kind of book is amazing and off the charts, then you might say it 's right up your alley. I like all those if books, this book is a great example of what is happening in the world today, where as a Shel Silverstein book, is funny and wacky stories expressed in poem form. My favorite part of A Night Without Armor is when she explains how of watching this girl get beat up by her dunk boyfriend made her feel. Personally it made me feel like I was right there in the poem watching it happen as well. The author did an amazing job explaining everything pretty throughly, the entire time I was reading this book, I felt like I was there watching everything happen and feel everything the author was feeling in that moment, when she was writing the book. It 's amazing to get caught up in the moment, and
