Every year Lemoore High School has elections for their officers. The candidates make a promise to the student body. A promise to be the best, to do something about school dress code, to have a fun school year,and many other things that they really don’t have any control of. Yet, they are accepted unlike Julius Caesar whom was the candidate to reign Rome and was assassinated before he could even say yes. The Julius Caesar play is a about the great Caesar and how he was doing so great everyone loved him. Yet, he was to loved and was believed to become a tyrant so he was assassinated by his “friends.” Afterwards his close friend Marc Antony slowly gets revenge against the killers with a speech that moved all of those who were okay with Caesar dying because they were brainwashed into thinking he deserved it. Antony is considered to be the one who is delivering the message. The reason he is delivering the speech is because Caesar died and he is honoring Caesar. Antony is under the circumstance of Caesar’s death he wants to speak at Caesar’s funeral and was given permission by Brutus whom keep in mind is loved by the crowd. The goal of Antony is to get the people to revolt against the conspirators who killed Brutus. The audience was initially people who wanted to know what happened to Caesar but they later changed their minds and were made to believe that he did deserve to die by Brutus.
